In May 2012, Christian suffered a serious accident that wasn’t his fault – he was run over by a car that lost control and mounted the kerb. This experience drives him on to make an impact to stop unexpected injuries happening to people around the world. The biggest cause of accident, injury and insurance claim in most sectors is slips-and-falls, so this is where he concentrates his time.
Over the last 3 years, Christian and his team have prevented £10m of slip-and-fall claim costs per year. But he is impatient to do more: that £10m represents less than 0.5% of the total annual slip-and-fall claim costs in the UK alone. Christian’s mission is to reduce the number of these accidents globally by 500,000+ a year.
