Whenever you need to cut wood or engineered-wood products, nothing performs that job better than a table saw. A good table saw will make your job and life easier by making rip cuts and cross cuts accurately, efficiently, and safely, allowing you to keep working. But not every table saw is the same. Fundamentally, there are two types of table saws: Those capable of cutting off your fingers, and those that save your fingers.
SawStop is the only brand of table saws that can dependably achieve the latter. Using patented, proprietary technology, SawStop table saws stop a spinning blade within 5 milliseconds of detecting skin contact with the blade, then pulling it below the table, preventing serious injury. No other table saw sold in North America can do that.
When an accident happens, the SawStop safety brake captures the blade. All you need to do then is replace the brake cartridge and blade, and you’re ready to cut wood again. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.
SawStop offers a versatile line-up of table saws ideal for all your wood-cutting needs. While all SawStop saws include our finger-saving technology, each offers a unique set of features that will ensure you have the precision, power, and capacity to meet your needs. Let’s take a look at the different saws.
The SawStop Industrial Cabinet Saw (ICS) is just what its name implies: a table saw ready and capable of working in a production environment. Made with heavy-duty components, a large cast iron top, a strong steel cabinet, and our best rip fence, the ICS is our biggest, most powerful, most robust table saw. When you buy an ICS, you choose the motor type and size, from 3, 5, or 7.5 hp models in single phase or three phase. You also choose between a saw with 36” of rip capacity or 52”. Regardless of which you choose, you’ll get our award-winning T-Glide rip fence.
SawStop’s Professional Cabinet Saw (PCS) is a slightly smaller version of the ICS, built to accommodate the unique demands of the avid hobbyist woodworker and small-shop professional. Our best-selling cabinet saw, the PCS comes with either a 120-volt 1.75-hp motor or a 240-volt 3-hp motor. You also get your choice of three rip fences: 30” Premium, 36” T-Glide, or 52” T-Glide.
The SawStop Contractor Saw (CNS) is our lowest-priced cast iron table saw, but it’s also our most versatile. The CNS can be configured in over 150 different setups by incorporating multiple accessories. It comes with a 1.75-hp motor and your choice of a 30” Aluminum rip fence or 36” or 52” T-Glide fence. You can choose between steel or cast iron tabletop wings.
For a more portable option, SawStop’s Jobsite Saw Pro (JSS) combines a robust 10” saw on a collapsible wheeled stand. So it’s just as easy to take and use on a jobsite as it is to use and store in a small garage shop. The JSS delivers up to 24-1/2” of rip capacity with a High-Low versatile fence. There’s also a storage tray beneath the extension table, as well as on-board storage for the rip fence, blades, and push stick.
Our smallest saw, the Compact Table Saw (CTS), weighs just 68 pounds, so it’s easily carried, transported, and stored. The CTS has 24-1/2” rip capacity with a High-Low rack & pinion fence and on-board storage for all included accessories. Our optional folding stand provides stable support with easy setup.
Each of our table saws except the Compact Table Saw accepts an 8” stacked dado set, for which you’ll need a matching brake cartridge (different than the one used for 10” blades) and a new throat insert plate.
Regardless of which saw you buy, you’ll be protected by our finger-saving technology and supported by our thoughtful design, quality, performance, and support after the sale. Learn more about SawStop’s award-winning table saws and our safety system at sawstop.com.
